1880's Primitive Wooden Frand Siddalls Advertising Soap Display Box for sale in Concord, Ohio

$175

This antique store counter top wooden display box is for Frank Siddalls Laundry Soap. This box held the soap and the lid would have been propped open to advertise the contents. The whimsical advertising touts that you didn't have to boil your clothes when using their soap, just warm water from the tea kettle. The ad shows a man kicking an old wash boiler with his wife saying "Don't spoil the old boiler, Sam, we can keep ashes in it!".
The box is in excellent condition with it's original old mustard with red trim paint and dovetailed corners. The hinges are in excellent condition. The advertising label is complete with some staining but doesn't detract from being able to easily read the wonderful color graphics within the sign. A real historic advertising gem for sure! It's a great size for a table top measuring 16-1/2 inches wide, 10-1/2 inches deep and 6-1/2 inches tall. Price: $175 Shipping Available
