Rather horrible to think about but a very necessary tool for the farmer was to keep his hogs from rooting with their noses along fence lines and escaping. As young hogs, the farmer would cut the ridge off the top of their noses which prevented them from digging. This Pig Snouter is dated Sept. 20, 1888. It resembles a large pair of 11" long scissors with the original piece of wood at the end with a ridge cut into it from years of use. Price: $45 Shipping Available
